2025 Activities

Please check below for selected activities in our 2024 REU program. The online meetings will be conducted in the Team space in Webex.

Program dates: Monday, June 09 – Friday, August 01, 2025

 

Regular Internal Meetings on Research Progress

 

  • Daily morning meeting of all participants, GAs (graduate assistants), and faculty mentors. These meetings are also used for social, ice-breaker, and getting-to-know-each-other activities as well as for the professional development program meetings with VIP visitors (see below) and discussions of general interest (such as on LaTeX or feedback on CVs/resumes).
  • Daily research progress discussion with mentor and RA for each team
  • Weekly research progress discussion with external collaborator(s) for each team
  • Weekly research progress presentation by each team on Friday afternoon to end the week

 

Internal Discussions and Activities

 

  • Graduate school preparation and academic integrity
  • Paper writing and publishing
  • Demonstration LaTeX and Overleaf
  • Feedback on each student’s resume or CV (= curriculum vitae)
